Iraq war: The troops' testimonies

On September 3, 2007, bush sneaked into Iraq under great secrecy into a heavily fortified US air base. He met with his usual handpicked audience for his usual photo op. But he said something which bothers me. He said he was going to pay attention to his generals but he said he was not going to pay attention to American Congressmen who were listening to polls of what the American people were telling them. Bush was elected by a dead even poll. An election is a poll. Now, the polls are against bush and cheney's Iraq war which was started based on their lies and was started to form a puppet government to create contracts for oil companies and halliburton. The conclusion is that bush listens to and likes polls that favor him and he is dismissive of polls that tell him he is wrong and the American people are right. Also, what are all of the troops' testimonies or general opinions? Let us presume that many of them, perhaps the great majority of them, are no where near any danger because they are clerks or mechanics safely embedded on bases even though they wear their camo uniforms and even though they can claim to be veterans of foreign wars. Perhaps these are the gung ho "veterans" that love war and want to stay the course. Hoo-ah. I would like to hear from each of the front line combat troops, the ones who have gone back year after year. What do they think about being shot at every day by snipers or being blown up by IEDs? Do they want to stay the course in Iraq to enrich oil companies who are making record profits? Do front line troops still believe they had to invade Iraq because bush and cheney repeat their lies over and over again by connecting 9-11 to their war in Iraq? Are the troops so immature that they want to stay in Iraq for decades because to leave dishonors their dead or someother equally immature reasoning? bush should not be able to just talk in front of handpicked hoorah troops. He should go to the front lines and talk to those in combat. Or someone should.
