How the media uses scare tactics to portray potentially negative news

It seems as if the news make you think the world is coming to an end. Funny isn't it? When in all actually the world just beings over and over again. With every generation there is a new way of life, style and what would be considered "the norm". In the 1960s it was free love and tye-dyed shirts. The news would show footage of protests against war. What is so wrong with that? In 2007 the news showed footage of a war protest, only this time there were no smoke bombs and fire hoses stopping it. Let me ask you something. How many times have you turned on the news to hear about a murder or a road side bombing? At least 6 times a week, right? Its sad that the news broadcast have nothing more to talk about. How about we talk about the flowers blooming or the people who are helping others. Not all news is bad. When you take a walk outside what do you see? Do you see people getting shot and bombs exploding? No. You see children playing and people giving a helping hand. Lets report about that. Stop the would wide panic of bombs and war. Lets all the just take some time to sit back and smell the roses for once. What would the news report on if we just stopped?
