One of the best pick me ups is a self neck massage.Start by bringing your chin down to your chest. Moving to the left roll your head to the side as if attempting to touch your shoulder.Breath in,relax,exhale. Continue rolling from left to right until your face forward again. Taking in deep breaths reach with your dominant hand for the area that connects your neck and shoulder,as if grabbing your neck from behind. With a firm grasp on the muscles press your fingers and begin to squeeze and release. Use just enough tension to work the muscles.Gradually continue moving up and repeating, working your muscles upward until you reach your occipital or base of the head.Repeat and continue to breath deeply and exhale. By this time you will be noticing your tension melting. This exercise never lets me down and it only takes a brief few minutes. Enjoy!
