The benefits of the government forcing men to pay child support

Lack of child support, forces more families into poverty than any other cause. Families who must rely on government assistance because of non-financial support from a parent suffer a loss in the quality of life style.
When a couple divorces, the custodial parent usually experiences a loss of income, and in some cases, he or she may even lose their home. Children have been taken from parents whose only crime was, that they were homeless. A child that comes from a broken home, and lives in poverty may experience difficulties in school.

When the government enforces child support laws, it insures, that a child will be given a fair chance for growing and prospering. The problem is that there are too many loopholes in the system. There needs to be stricter legislation such as access to credit cards and laws that would enable children to bring lawsuits against non- supportive parents even after they reach the age of eighteen.

We are a nation that loves its pets, there are many voices that would cry out over the neglect and abuse of a helpless animal. Yet too many of our children today are not getting the standard of care that some pets are getting.

When parents bring children into the world; they take on a responsibility. All children should be given the same opportunity for a productive life, regardless of the actions of their parents.
