Buying an SUV or not buying an SUV is a personal choice. I don't have one, but I certainly don't want you or anyone else deciding for me whether or not I should have one. Those who can afford an SUV and who can afford to pay for the gasoline required have every right to buy SUVs.

Only people who don't have SUVs are against having SUVs. People who can't afford them, people who actually believe the superstition that we are running out of oil, people who have no reason to live other than to find a cause and attach their wagon to it (environmental wackos), and people who believe they have the right to decide for others what is best, are the people who are against SUVs.

John Edwards, a filthy rich hypocrite with a 28,000 square foot mansion, recently said Americans should give up their SUVs. Edwards, known also as Mr. $400 haircut, should set an example for the rest of us by moving into a small apartment, selling his mansion, and giving the money to poor people. Until he does that, his advice means nothing. He needs to walk the walk he talks.

So you can't afford an SUV. Neither can I. Maybe someday I'll want one, maybe not...but if I come to the point of being willing and able to get one, stand back and do not try to impose your politically correct philosophy on me. I don't much care what you think and your opinion will not hinder my actions.
