Crossroads
Standing here on the dirty dusty crossroads
On a cold dark night
The dirt from barren fields blows in the dry wind
Covering me in the scratchy gritty grime
The overcast sky cloaks any light from moon or stars above
I have been turned around so many times that I don't know
From which road I came
And I can not see which way to go.
Each road is a dark distant path into the unknown.
Standing here at 3am on these dirty dusty crossroads
On the this cold dark night
Waiting for any light
Or a sign directing me to a destination
The night waxes onward
Edging me moment by moment into the darkness
Pushing me inch by inch into grief
And Despair

I feel so

The Sting
The tears sting in my eyes as I struggle
to hold them back
Careful not to let them fall, careful
not to crack
But why
