Chapter 20

Daniel heard the screams and quickly mounted Seashore. He didn't know what he could do but he couldn't ignore it There wasn't time to go back to the ranch for help and he hadn't thought to bring a weapon with him.
In the distance he saw and he knew. It was the same one that had killed Kyla's mama the same one that had clawed him and struck his back with his belt .He had been lucky to escape the evil one's clutches

Trent heard the pounding of hooves and turned towards the sound, hah only a young boy, and then it dawned on him. That was the boy that had seen him kill the pale haired lady. Oh this was so good. "No, no, dammit," he thought in frustration. The evil one had reached his horse, but still Daniel spurred Seashore on.
Daniel closed his eyes preparing for the blow as the evil one raced towards him his mocking laughter thundering through the air.
But the blow never came. He opened his eyes just as the evil one disappeared through the trees. And then he saw the reason why.
Thomas was riding hell bent for leather and Daniel said a silent prayer of thanks.Together they rode towards Gina. Thomas dismounted and taking off his shirt tried to cover her as best he could. There was so much blood. He breathed a sigh of relief though, when he found that she still lived.
Daniel was shaking now that the shock had worn off and reality was
