the original. The design is smoother with less sharp corners and the navigation buttons are improved (less heat sensitive areas with more actual buttons) which really contributes to easier use.
In addition to the LG models above, all sexy in their own right, LG offers other great looking phones carried in the United States. These include the VX8300 (dark gray, sturdy flip-phone) and the LG VX9400 (unique multimedia phone with a screen which turns sideways for "widescreen" viewing) both offered by Verizon.
AT&T sometimes has an LG model or two, while Sprint offers an LG Muziq 570 which at first glance seems to be a hybrid of the original LG Chocolate and the clamshell LG Chocolate. The hybrid look comes from the heat sensitive circular navigation on the front, while the phone flips open to reveal traditional buttons and keypad. This LG music super phone has a built-in FM transmitter haven't seen any Verizon phones do that yet!
These factors really increase confidence that the LG cell phone products are superior. However, I feel our view of the LG brand name phones here in the U.S. is sadly limited mostly to what Verizon offers.
DO YOU THINK AN IPHONE IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD?
Well, could LG possibly have an answer to the iPhone? You bet they do. Overseas LG has offered several great alternatives to the iPhone with their LG Prada line (LG KE850, LG KS20) and new to production LG Viewty (LG KU990). While proclaimed not as good as the iPhone in several areas, these are sexy, touch screen options which are smaller and of course with different features.
In some of our opinions these LG touch screen phones would be superior and great alternatives to the iPhone but the issue is they haven't come to the United States yet! Earlier in 2007 it was rumored the Prada was coming to Verizon so of course I eagerly waited and held off on buying a new phone. Sadly it never came and I've read that LG has ruled out the Prada as transitioning to the United States.
Yet the point remains that LG DOES have answers to the iPhone and trust in their brand name is high based on their quality cell phone lines. For now we'll just have to keep waiting and watching to see what great cell phones LG will come out with next!
LG cell phones are extremely popular worldwide and stand out in cell phone factors including DURABILITY, USABILITY, and DESIGN. Personally I've owned LG phones my entire "cell phone life" and in my experiences they're by far the best money can buy of all phone options. It's no question that LG cell phones have definitely risen and continue to grow in popularity.
Currently I own a silver LG VX8700 and also a touch screen PDA for work tasks such as email, appointments, and contacts. Yes I'd love an all-inclusive great PDA. But for now I'm one of those people lugging around both a personal cell phone and a PDA for work.
But if my cell phone is LG, I wouldn't have it any other way! Now if only LG made PDAs, we'd be set! Now THAT would be the "best cell phone unit in the world".
