Need to save some cash? Here are 7 Money saver tips anyone can do! Your amounts may differ slightly based on your spending habits and lifestyle.
1. Budgeters: Make sure you have anywhere from $50-$100 left out of your income each month. This adds up quickly and you can always keep it in a savings account where it can gather interest! (Saves $600-$1200 a year)
2. Start a Change Jar: All that loose change sitting in the floor board of your car can really add up! Designate a jar or other container to drop your change into at the end of each day, and on the last day of the month take it into the bank or a Coin Star machine and cash in! (Saves up to $30 a month)
3. Club Cards: Sign up for the club card at your grocery store. This ensures that you get in on super sales. When a buy one get one free sale comes around take advantage of it and stock up on non perishable goods! Also clipping coupons can help, just make sure you read the fine print and don't buy anything you don't need. (Saves $40-$200 a month)
4. Coffee Drinkers: A cup of coffee at a shop can cost up to $3 for plain drip coffee, for the daily drinker that's $90 a month! A months supply of ground coffee is around $20. If you think you don't have the time to brew your own in the morning, most coffee makers are very affordable and come with auto brew. You can set it to be ready when your alarm goes off, and there's no wait to get your morning cup of Joe! (Saves up to $70 a month)
5. Public Transportation: With gas prices on the rise, a morning commute to work can cost up to $5. (That's roughly $100 a month to drive to work depending on your cars mileage, the current gas prices, and the distance you have to travel) Taking the bus or light rail can easily cut that in half! This isn't including weekend trips to the mall and friends homes. (Saves up to $50 a month)
6. Do It Yourself: Buy alcoholic drinks at the store, and cook a lavish meal to enjoy at home. Most restaurants charge you double and sometimes TRIPLE what food costs. By cooking and drinking at home you can save up to half of what your bill would have been in a restaurant, and there's no one to tip. This also ensure the quality of the food your eating, and gives you a chance to explore new dishes without paying high prices. (Saves $30 and up each month)
7. The Oldest Trick in the Book: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle! Pretty self explanatory, and every little bit helps! For those into going Green this is a good start. Just recycling cans and plastic bottles can earn you up to $15 a month! Plus it's good for the environment. (saves $5-$15 monthly)
