Poetry: I hear you

I could have sworn you called my name...
While I walked the dark streets looking for you,
I could have sworn,
I turned around; I called your name,
And I really could have sworn,
I stopped dead when I heard you,
I swear I did.

But to my inquiry no one answered
So stupidly, I walk away,
To the comfort of the beach,
The water and harsh sand,
Reminding me of your bitter and sweet

I could have sworn you called my name.
I lay cool, on the sand,
I could have sworn,
I heard footsteps, a quiet eerie sound,
And I really could have sworn,
I felt your tight embrace, warm around me,
I swear I did.

But when I got up seconds later,
I shrug away the sinister feeling,
The foreboding silence of the night,
Not caring to notice the same moon,
That had been there our night

I could have sworn you called my name.

I sensed you near me, in my room,
I could have sworn,
I turned the light on, ushered you in,
And I really could have sworn,
I spoke your name like you yelled mine,
And you answered

I swear you did.
