Heaven is reserved for those who have sought salvation, those who have humbled themselves before the Lord, asking forgiveness of their sins, known and unknown. Heaven is reserved for those who have faith, those who put the almighty before themselves, accepting God's will as their own . . .
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
The Bible says no man shall enter heaven except through the son. Simply put, unless you have chosen to ask the Lord to come into your heart so you may be reborn again into the body of Christ, you may not enter the kingdom of heaven.
John 8 5:6 But if you will look to God and plead with the Almighty, if you are pure and upright, even know he will rouse himself on your behalf and restore you to your rightful place.
Only those who have given their life to Christ and asked for forgiveness from their sins are truly children of the king. Once you have found salvation you must live your life according to the dictates God set before us. You must have faith and remain true.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Not one of us is perfect and even the best of us will sin and give in to temptation, but when we do, we must earnestly seek forgiveness, falling to our knees is repentance. This is not to say that you have the freedom to sin when you please and ask to be forgiven and all is well.
Romans 3: 22-24 Even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Jesus Christ.
Sadly, many people believe that if they simply live a good life they will make it to heaven one day, it just does not work that way. Hell will be filled with good people.
2 Chronicles 15:2 The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
Asking the Lord to come into your heart is the greatest gift you can ever give to yourself . . . it will last for eternity.
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all the tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any pain: for the former things have passed away.
