A Dream of Riding -
Persistently, a dream indeed
lives on within my mind.
To ride the trails upon my steed
when night is left behind.
On woodsy paths in vivid scenes,
I ride the morn away.
So ride I must, and now it seems
there well may come a day.
From little child to grown adult,
t'was always on my mind, and
dreamt despite the full insult
of sleep's illusive kind.
So up upon my saddled love,
breathed in with senses filled,
I climb me up and sit above
the dream that won't be stilled.
