Testimonies: What to do if your teenager is sexually active
Article ToolsWell, Just recently, I just got news from my 16yr old son, that he was having sex. Yes, was I surprise, very surprise, because I was looking for him to let me know when he was ready. My husband and I have had talks to him about sex, we discuss him using condoms to protect himself from all kinds of disease and possibly getting a girl pregnant. What can we do now that he is sexually active, is continue communicating with him about the repercussion that he will have to face, while continuing to have sex. Parents we can talk to our teen, until our head fall off about not having sex, will they listen, maybe or maybe not, but what we can do is educate them about it and pray that they listen. After all we were once teens and how easy was it for our parents to talk to us.Talk to your teen daily and see how they feeling and see what is driving them to be sexually active, ask them what could you do to help them get involve in some type of activity, to keep their mine away from sex, that's what I choose to do with my teen and so far, it's working.
Parents keep communicating with your teen about sex, and keep them update on what's going on in the world.
