Hello. I have a hair dye disaster to share. I have dark to almost brown hair naturally. Well, I don't like it so I wanted to dye my hair blonde, which I like, and now it's good, but when I first did it, I used "Sun-In", it's a hair lightener that you just spray in and let the sun do the work.
Well...if you follow the directions it works wonderfully I'm sure, but, me being the impatient person that I can be, I kept doing it every 3 days or sooner instead of once a week. It FRIED my hair! I had places in my hair that totally died, and some even fell out. It broke off so severely that I had to cut it so short that it looked like a Dr. Seuss Creature's topknot on top of my head when I pony-tailed it.
I got me one of those long clip-on hair pieces by Scuncci, to help it look better. I told everyone that Michael touched my hair and grew it back magically Hahaha! But not only did it die and fall out or break or what ever, it took me almost 3 years to get it back to a semi-normal looking head of hair and it's still a work-in-progress. Now I use L'Oreal LBO1-or-2 on my hair, and conditioners to restore shine and body, because the "Sun-In" stripped the shine and body away and my hair just hung there lifeless, and everyone I looked at had bad stuff to say. So, no more "Sun-In" for me on my hair, I don't even like blow-drying unless it's absolutely necessary.
So, that's my hair dye disaster!
