Poetry: Friendship

You are a Friend

You give me comfort when I am depressed.
You give me a place to "sleep" when I need emotional rest.
You are a beacon of light shining toward me.
You are a friend-very special-to my feelings you hold the key.

You give me peace when I am unstable.
You give me joy when everyone else is unable.
You are the answer to my prayers, to all my dreams.
You are a friend-an angel-at least to me it seems.

You give me a reason to live when I cannot cope.
You give me a smile-a hug-and plenty of hope.
You are a glass of lemonade on a summer day.
You are a friend-one I trust-I want that to forever stay.

You give me inspiration for these rhymes and phrases.
You give me knowledge; guide me through life's mazes.
You are the raindrops falling in "April showers."
You are a friend-sunlight-that brings "May flowers."
