The answer really depends on what type of person you are. If you are the type of person that likes to have things done quickly and efficient, or if you are the person that likes to have things done professional and the way you want it. Lets start with the advantages of having a store-bought computer.

Advantages.
The advantages for getting a store-bought computer over a built one are pretty simple. If you know a lot about computers and how to get what you want to get done on it, but you have no idea what is inside or even runs the computer, then you are the one to get a store-bought computer. Store-bought computers are for the people that want a computer that works and does not have problems. They don't care too much for what runs it or even how well it runs, they just want it, and they want it now. These type of people are impatient, and they want things to work their way. When buying a store-bought computer you have a few advantages on your side. 1) You get it sooner than if you had built one. 2) You get it already built, and ready to use. 3) You don't have to bother with knowing how it works. 4) Right after you buy it, you just need to hook it up, and you are ready to go. 5) You can get more deals at the store, because sometimes they don't have the same deals online as they do in the stores. 6) You have more chance of being able to return it if you are not satisfied with what you got. I think that is about it on the advantages for getting a store-bought computer. Next we will move on to the advantages for building your own computer.

Advantages.
The advantages for building your own computer online are a lot greater than that of getting a store-bought computer. With building your own computer you have a lot more say in what you are getting. 1) You get to pick out what you want exactly. 2) If you are building your own then you obviously have more knowledge about computers. 3) You can pick different computer parts from different companies. 4) You get more deals online than in the store. 5) You get to pick what brand you want for each computer part. 6) You can specify exactly what kind of computer you want by each individual part you get. 7) You get send-in rebates, which help with the price. 8) You don't have to drive to the store, you can just order it online. 9) Lastly, you get to pick what your case looks like, and your keyboard, mouse, speakers, and monitor. I feel like building your own computer is a better use of your money
