The Greatest Gift of All:
The stars were shining brightly,
The country side was white,
Ice Sparkled on the trees
On that cold winters night.
The old folks in the cabin
Were filled with hope this year,
They were sure the children would be home
To bring Christmas cheer.
Then they heard the sleigh bells,
Ringing out trough the pines
Love was shining in their eyes
it would be a wonderful Christmas time,
There is nothing you could ask for
That could give more and joy,
Then to see the lady who once wore pigtails
Or the man who was Daddy's boy.
For the day would soon be over,
The tree would start to fall,
But having the family home for Christmas
Was the greatest gift of all.
