The war in Iraq has severely damaged the quality of life in the US, Now I am not against the fact that we went to war due to the tragedy of 9/11, but I think our time there has been way to long. Our economy has suffered tremendously due to the war the prices of so many things has sky rocketed, and it is all linked to the war.
I am all for defending our country, but the US is in such distress over it still going on. The price of gas, food, and other necessities is outrageous, not to mention that more and more people are loosing there homes because of the affect this war is having on the overall economy.
People are afraid to spend money on things that seemed to make life so enjoyable because you never know when the next gas hike is going to be 10,15 or 20 cents on the gallon, so how can we go to work and buy groceries if we can't pay for the gas? So people buy less of things they don't have to have in order to pinch pennies for what they do have to have. So many businesses are closing, people loosing there jobs, loosing there homes and more and more people having to go on welfare just to survive. At the rate our lives here are going it will force people to revert to the earlier days when 2 or 3 families lived cramped in a house just to survive.
Our lives here in the US are just going to get worse the longer this war goes on, we went there got Sadaam he paid for his crime the people have elected a president now it's time to leave and let them build there own country just as we did. We need our lives back and our children need the kind of lives they were promised to live free and enjoy life instead of wondering if there is really going to be a country here like they have been told we have.
