Tunnel Vision
"Where the hell am I, and how did I get here? I've got to find a way out, but not knowing how I got here makes it a bit harder. I must have been really plastered. I just want to be home in my nice warm bed."
DJ continued to mumble to himself, while feeling very confused.
"If my friends did this as some sort of prank, it sure isn't funny. I have no idea what time it is. This must be an underground tunnel that takes the excess water to the river when the rains come. I can barely see. I don't even know what direction to go in. Shit! Well, just have to pick one. If the damn mist wasn't so heavy in here it might be easier to see where I'm going."
Moving through the tunnel he sees a shadow. "Hey wait up. Who are you? Do you know how to get out of here?"
Susie turned and said "DJ?" That you? What happened? How did we get in here?"
DJ ran towards Susie waving his arms and hands, "The guys must be playing a practical joke. I don't think this is funny. We have to keep walking to find our way out."
"Find our way out, do you know how we even got in here?"
"No."
"Well if you didn't get so drunk maybe we wouldn't be in here."
"You weren't doing so bad yourself." He said as he reached down and took her trembling hand.
"Let's just get out of here," she said. "The last thing I can remember was leaning on your shoulder and falling asleep. I don't think your friends are to nice, cause this is really not a good situation to be in."
"Yeah well, they like their tricks, but when I get my hands on them, they'll wish they didn't know me!"
Following the tunnel for about what seemed like twenty minutes they both saw someone up a head. "Hey," DJ called out.
The figure stopped, it didn't move and waited for Susie and DJ.
Once close enough, they saw it was a boy of about fifteen. His hair was dark brown and was slightly matted to his face. He looked a bit dazed. As he looked at them both he asked "What's going on do you know how we got here?"
"Beats me." DJ replied. After introducing Susie and himself, he asked the boy who he was and how long he was in the tunnel.
"I'm Gene. The last thing I remember I had left work. I'm a busboy at the fast food stop, and I was on my bike heading home, only now I'm here.
Sounding nervous DJ blurted out. "This sure is freaky! Does anyone believe in Aliens?" He really wasn't kidding when he said it; he wanted to see how his partners would react to his question.
"What do you mean?" Susie replied, her voice a bit shaky.
"Just looking for an explanation on how we
