Notre Dame football may not be exactly what it used to be, and I think Brady Quinn suffered a bit from the Irish's decline: well, that and a few really bad bowl games. However, let me assure you that Quinn is more likely to be the next Joe Montana than the next Steve Beurlein. Simply put, this kid has the stats, build, and pedigree to lead the Cleveland Browns into the promised land. Sorry Dolphins, but unless there's another lean year in Miami and a high draft pick, a steal like Quinn isn't likely to come around for many years.

In the past two seasons, the 6'4", 227lb. Quinn was groomed for success by former Patriots assistant Charle Weiss. The coach knows talent and how to make a player NFL ready. As a junior, Brady passed for 3900 yards and 32 TD's, all while only giving up 7 interceptions and compiling a ridiculous 158 passer rating. Quinn was considered a prime Heisman candidate heading into his senior year, but he had a bit of a letdown. That is if you want to call 3400 yards, 37 TD's and a QB rating of 146 a letdown. This guy is good! He completed about 64% of his passes under the guidance of coach Weiss!

LaMarcus Russell has the tools to be a great player with the Raiders, but he is a bit of a project. Quinn, however, is "right now", and Browns fans are very excited after seeing him in action for the first time during the preseason. Let's not limit this to the Dolphins and Raiders, though. Any team that could have drafted this phenom made a huge mistake. Over the next few seasons Brady will go from the last name in pro football (Tom _____) to the first name (_____ Quinn). Brady Quinn has ALL of the tools, and don't be surprised if it becomes chic to be a Browns fan within the next 2-3 years. I'm a Steelers fan, and I'm very worried!
