The purpose of life, I think, can only be found from life. It is in examining our lives, our dreams, and our relation, and connection to life, that we will see a certain pattern of purpose revealing itself to us.
I can only show this to you through example.
Each night I have many dreams, and last night was the same, I again had lots of dreams. I only remember snippets of a setting where I was at my Grandma's house. It was 8.30 am, and I was sleeping in a double bed with my wife. Other family members, and relatives were in the house also. My wife wanted to hop up, and go for a walk early, in the morning.
The next dream had more detail that I remembered. I dreamed I was looking for a toilet on the fifth floor of a multi storey building having gone there from the floor below. There were shops on the floor, a newsagent, and an office supplies store. The street is also connecting somehow to the fifth floor where you can actually walk out to the street from there. There is a stand with some free handouts on it. I take one. When I go back to my floor I show it to the others. The writing on the paper, as you keep looking at it, changes from appearing to be letters written backward, to then appearing to be words in many different languages, and changing languages. I turned the paper over, and it is the same on the other side, changing as you look continually at it. The words were rearranging themselves as you kept looking at it, and through it.
A somewhat strange dream, but life can also be a bit strange sometimes, can't it, or so I thought to myself.
The next dream, immediately followed. I was at my Mum's house now, looking out the window of my old bedroom. There were some kids in our backyard looking at our tram. We had an old tram in our backyard, when I was growing up, that we used as a shed, and for storage, and of course to play in, when I was a kid. I noticed that the other kids in my dream also had a tram in their backyard, which I can see is a different type than ours, with many side door entrances, all along the sides, but they really want to look at ours, in our place. As I look out from the window I have an eerie feeling that my Uncle Albert is coming to visit us later today.
This is my fathers brother, who was the tram enthusiast, and who had bought the tram for my Dad who couldn't afford a shed, soon after he had first gotten married. He was short of cash, and finances soon after he had married spending his savings on the house, and had said yes to my Uncle,
