Un-traditionally traditional that is the menu, coming from an Italian background Thanksgiving was not part of our traditions, however as we became part of the North American culture we decide to celebrate the holiday. The celebrations though were tinged with Italian culinary delights that celebrate the harvest and family. Thanksgiving has become a time to gather, a time to share the events of the past summer and to look forward to the Christmas celebrations ahead, a time to share and be aware of each other. It is a time to be thankful for the blessing of family, for our health, for what we have for what we can share with each other.

Our Menu is as follows, Remember we focus on the harvest and bounty that nature provides:

Lots of homemade wine a few years old,

A toast to the harvest with a glass of Asti Spumante

Antipasto of homemade marinated mushrooms, zucchini, egg plant, roasted peppers, a strong pecorino romano cheese, sopressata ( a homemade cured meat).

Homemade fettucini with a wild mushroom sauce ( mushrooms found in forests by the family)

A wonderful rack or shank of lamb, roasted on the BBQ if weather permits or simply roasted with fine herbs and garlic.

A large breast of turkey with cranberry sauce and stuffing ( our Americana tradition)

New small potatoes and sweet potatoes roasted with herbs, onions and garlic.

A Spaghetti Squash dish seasoned with garlic, onions, parsley, and parmiggiano cheese.

Asparagus

Mixed Greens salad fresh tomato salad

A traditional pumpkin pie, lemon pie, prune squares, apple- peach crostata.

Fruits in season with a plate of cheese and also fresh grapes from this years crop that will be used for the new wine.

Caf espresso, please and then a little Amaro for a digestif, lots of jokes, laughs, stories, memories and love.
