Tips for buying coffee

The day I told my mother I'd been hired as a coffee-shop barista, she informed me I was in charge of making the morning brew. My mother hadn't known how to use the coffeemaker for over six months and her daily four-hour naps caused me to suspect she needed a jolt of caffeine. We made our way to the coffee emporium, where I established the rules.
1) Know your taste buds! Sample a Dark, Medium, and Light roast before purchasing, to determine how strong you like your beans. Dark roasts are often used for espresso and medium roasts are typically used at restaurants.

2) If considering a flavored coffee, breathe in the aroma like you would a fine wine. If you don't love the aroma, chances are you won't like the flavor.
3) Don't be afraid to ask for samples. Often, coffee-shops and emporiums will bag you just enough beans for a cup, so that you can try a larger quantity.
4) This isn't something to skimp on! Think about the money you'll save by not going to a coffee-shop every day and brewing your own at home. You get what you pay for! Purchase something you'll love, rather than the cheap brand from Walmart and you'll thank yourself later.
5) Because coffee loses its flavor and aroma when left to sit, purchase a quality grinder and grind your beans each morning. While it may take a moment longer, the quality of the coffee will be that much better.
Anybody who says they don't like coffee just hasn't had the right one. Take your time and hunt for a delicious cup of Java to wake up to each morning.
