With so much fear, you moved
Silent and alone
In and around and though it
With so many obstacles to move
Willed and stubborn
You climbed and fell and rose again
With so little strength
Weary and frail
You pushed and pulled and crossed the line
With so little resources
Edgy and anxious
You picked up books and became a library
With so much pain
Stressed and grieved
You inspired goodwill and faith
Your smile a reassurance
You did it all
Without batting a eye
The spunk
The spirit
The strength
You my dear
Is what gave courage its name
