Tips for keeping the romance alive

Romance and intimacy are important spices that are necessary to make a flavorful and savory relationship. Of course, the key spices have to be added to a quality portion of love, trust, and mutual respect, but once you add equaling parts of all, you should have a delectable feast that will satisfy the hunger of companionship.

Every relationship hits bumps and rough patches. However if you spend your couple time building special moments and memories, you will have these times to reflect back upon and those moments will help carry you two over the hurdles and obstacles. This is why keeping the romance alive is an important aspect of a relationship.

Make time for each other. Yes, this is the most important way to keep the romance alive. As a couple, you have to be willing to set aside special time for each other. All too often, couples become too busy in the everyday events, and it becomes easier to sacrifice the romance as opposed to finding and making the time for each other. Sure, work and or children can add stress and complications to life and schedules, but romance can be achieved in little ways that do not take up much time, yet achieve that intimate and tender moment we as humans need to connect with. Romance is all about creating a mood, touching the senses, cradling the heart, and mingling with each other's souls; so, be creative.

Here are some helpful hints that can enhance a relationship and keep the romance healthy and alive:

The bubble bath is an easy and subtle way to bring romance into your life. You can choose one day a week or one day a month and make it your special romance time. Light scented candles, sense pleasing smells from bubble bath and body washes, some wine, soft music playing, and you and your partner entwined as your bodies relax and unwind in the soothing warmth of the water. It is definitely a wonderful way to shut out the complexities of the day and share a moment with someone we love.

The backyard night picnic is another great and inexpensive way to create romance within the folds of our busy lives. Again, gather up your candles, choose a not so out in the open spot in your yard, or for those in apartments, try the roof or fire escape. Spread out a blanket and set up a spread of simple foods. You do not have to be overly fancy with the foods-finger snacks, cheeses and fruits and wine work well. Remember, romance is all about making time and creating a special moment.
