Anime and Manga: An overview

Money.
Money is something big in Anime and Manga. Manga isn't cheap unless they are having a sale. Where I live for one volume of a Manga called Hellsing it costs 15 dollars. Kids have been know to become more addicted to it then adults which is true. I don't know to many adults that have a lot of Anime/Manga stuff in their room. Also conventions aren't cheap either. Costumes can cost a fortune...I know myself because of the fact being that one costume I spent 300 dollars on. So in this case money is something you kind of need to have. But as the saying goes, if you are addicted to manga you will not have any money for drugs.

Manga.
Manga itself was first in Japan. No if you like in the U.S.A you can either get it in the original language or in English. There is actually a wide variety of Manga. Everything from romance to horror. Who ever you may be there is at least one book for you that you will like. It may take you a while to find but there is at least one book. But ever though they are good there is a price. Most Manga's cost some money. The lowest I have seen is 9 dollars. Also some manga's are longer and have more writing then others so you have to be willing to read it and not just skip ahead to the good parts.

Anime.
Anime itself is fairly cheap. Though again you can get it in its original language or in English. Mostly though the Anime is based off of a Manga and it never really is as good. You should be able to rent Manga at a local video store but you may need an ID but it all depends on which one you may be trying to rent. Also if they are showing the Anime on TV and some part of the person is exposed or on the edge, they will add more clothing to that person. Where usually on the dvd's it usually is how it was first drawn.

Anime over Manga?
I myself would rather choose Manga. I understand people don't like reading backwards but it gives you more of the experience that way. I will give you guys some examples so maybe you can get a feel from where I am coming from. Trinity Blood, the anime was great but they threw it together so quickly. The end of the anime was off and thats why I started to read the manga. I wanted to know what happened. In the anime they throw in characters and take them out quickly...it is confusing if you don't watch it very carefully. Where in the manga it takes it's time and introduces characters slowly and doesn't take them out so quickly. Now Inuyasha...the manga to my seems a little rushed but it explains things little by little. Now the end of the anime just drops and leaves you so many questions. Which to me is annoying...I hate when they leave you high and dry.

Sub vs. Dub
For me it is Sub. I like to hear what the real voices sound like and I can read fast enough as well. Most people don't have to attention span to read the Subs so they just do the Dubs. Honestly..it doesn't matter but I do like to hear the first voices of the characters and also the dub voices as well. Either way it can work for me.
