In the interest of teaching the masses, I believe we need to look to our experts in education to develop standard teaching methods. However, as I have stated in previous articles, I feel it is unwise to "put all our eggs in one basket" when it comes to education. It's a matter of melding the expert information into our teaching methodology while maintaining the valuable lessons taught locally.
The world and education is ever evolving, and educators are continually devising new and better ways to teach. As a science educator, I look to the improved technology and strategies of the experts in my field to advance my teaching methods and the programs I offer to students.
In underprivileged areas it's imperative that we use these methods to teach our young people. This is not to the destruction of local customs, or cultural learning. It is about furthering our youth and improving the minds of our future.
