My husband always has a close panic attack when I tell him I want to change my hair color . It took me years to learn that my natural hair color is the most suitable one. My natural hair color is light brown. I have been every single color in the book but let me tell you an incredibly hilarious hair adventure I had.
I am known for my spontaneity. I am extremely adventurous with my hair and to me, a change is as good as a holiday. After dying my hair jet black, I decided that it didn't suit me. People started saying that I looked like Wednesday from the Adams Family. I have pale skin, so they were being rather honest in saying this.
I bought some blond box color and decided to go blonde. After doing this I ended up with blond roots and black hair. Now I looked like something out of a horror movie. I looked awful. In tears I phoned my mom and begged her to help me out.
My mom sent me to her hair dresser and she saved the day. I have been going to the same hair dresser now for six years since then. I know now to take my spontaneity somewhere else instead, be it a hobby like beading or something. Hair is too precious to mess around with and I have had one too many episodes of bad hair days and frightening looks.
I now remain natural with a few blonde streaks and I leave the creativity to my hair dresser. I am good at a lot of things but certainly not coloring hair. I have been purple, blue black, blond, red and orange. No more for me thank you very much. It is an urge that I have to fight daily. At least my husband is calmer now knowing I have chosen to remain loyal to my hair dresser. He will no longer come home seeing the surprise of having a wife with punky hair. He is happy and calmer now.
