Tips for keeping the romance alive

I have been married for thirty-five amazing years to a magnificent man. We are still as romantic with each other today as the first day we met. I believe what keeps the romance alive in a relationship are not just a lot of tips and tidbits, but rather a recipe. I have a list of ingredients that will create the perfect recipe for romance
Understanding: of the other persons needs (not just the physical)

Trust: in all things
Love: in sickness and in health

Passion: never let it die

Communication: always talk things out

Spontaneity: be ready to do the unexpected

I have listed a few types of romantics and some different recipes that you can use. For each recipe, the same ingredients are needed. Never leave one out of your recipe.

There are the reconnecting romantics, steamy romantics, sentimental romantics, playful romantics and thoughtful romantics. Now I believe that we can be not just one but all types of romantic depending on where you are at in your relationship, your age and even health plays a part.

If you are a thoughtful romantic, you might try the following tips: Plan a candlelight dinner at home for just the two of you. Have a hot bath ready for your loved one when he/she gets home from a hard day's work. (men enjoy bubble baths as much as a woman does) A body massage is another thing that the thoughtful romantic might do. Anticipate their needs.

If you are a playful romantic, you might try the following tips: Have the strawberries and whip-cream ready. Leave goofy, mushy cards in their partners lunch-box, purse or on their pillow. Give an IOU to your loved one stating you are at their beck in call on a particular day. Communicate be spontaneous.

If you are a sentimental romantic, you might try the following tips: Read your old love letters to each other. Play the first song you danced with each other on your first date. Have a dinner just like the one you had on your first date. Try to understand what makes your partner feel romantic. Communicate show your love.

If you are a steamy romantic, you might try the following tips: Try rose petals in the bathtub with candles lit surrounding the bathtub. Try out that new sexy lingerie that you were embarrassed to purchase. Do not be afraid to tell your partner what makes you steamy. Remember trust is an ingredient for success.

Remember to keep the romance alive you have to love your partner (even when they make it difficult), understand their needs, trust them in all things, don't be afraid of passion, communicate your needs and be spontaneous. Life is far to short to allow romance to die, try my recipe and I guarantee success.
