Poetry: Realization

An awareness burned
thru me and then
left.

Shocked I listen
to traffic, wind
leaves, voices
a tv in the distance.

What happened
brilliant light
flashed spirit
then poof, lost in smoke.

all that was left
was a connection
a spider web
into the darkness.

Left empty, except
the realization,
the beingness
the vessel and darkness.

the chair, wooden floor,
tv, stained socks, empty cans
ripped shirts, broken glass,
odor of old meat, vegetables.
teenagers hip-hop, neighbors squabble,
stale beer, ashtray filled, overflowing
onto the cheap, gouged laminated
table top.

each atom was right
were it was suppose to be
at that moment.

Every electron to orbit
in uncertainty
eternity
in that instant.

the very second of
perfection, then the next
the next, on to eternal

a thin strand of
web, silky, glittering
slowly dropping.

Connecting to each
particle, quark
and vacuum. tangled

the spider, hung in midair
busy, echos fluttered
the strand, it scurried up
an inch, or

Now empty staring
waiting knowing
thru it now, Now.
