G.M. is not on the verge of bankruptcy, G.M. is not loosing money.
Actually the losses that they talk about are losses on sales projections.
The way it works is : General Motors projects their sales to be 18 million higher than the previous year, The year end sales figures come in and their sales were only 5 million higher than the previous year. they look at this and report a 13 million dollar loss.
Actually not a loss of income, Just a loss on their projection. Worst part is, people actually believe there is a loss of income.
Could any of the auto companies actually keep building vehicles if they lost the money they say they lost ?
Would the corner convenience store stay in business if they lost $1000.00 per day. Could your business stay afloat if you lost $500.00 per day.
This whole concept can be compared to living your lifestyle based on overtime pay.
The overtime pay is extra, If it goes away, your lifestyle may change slightly, However you still have your regular 40 hour paycheck to live on..
