How to know when it is time to go

by sisi

There is always more to a marriage than anyone can see from the outside. So when couples we've known for a long time decide to break up our first reaction or comment is: "Unbelievable, they seemed to get along so well." Well, not so well apparently if they decided to go this far and call it quits don't you think?

There are always some valid reasons for a couple to split. At least they are valid in their eyes or in one of the partner's eyes otherwise there would be no divorces or break ups on this earth! And since we don't live in a perfect world, divorces and break ups do happen. How do they happen? They all occur in different manners; one of the spouses can just leave without notice for example; or she/he can file for a divorce. But most of them-break ups- might be triggered by the following situations:

1- You feel sick to your stomach when you think of another year or even another month that you'll be spending with him/her; which means that just the thought of being with him/her is disagreable to you, let alone being physically together. Sometimes you just know you are through. You just feel it, but of course in this case it would be hard for you to explain it to your friends and relatives. Therefore you should be prepared to take the blame on you, but so what? It's your life and nobody can force you to live with someone you don't respect or love.

2- When he/she is strange about money. For example, he/she never tells you how much he/she has in her/his account. He has never accepted to combine your incomes; and he is always complaining that he is broke or going to be broke; which is intended to get you pay the bills of course. Worse, he would never lend you money and would become furious if you ask him to do so. And if he does, he would ask you to pay him back right away even if you would have to take second job.

3- You discover his/her porn collection and when you do ask him/her what it is about, he/she would say that there is nothing to worry about and that porn is not his/her thing anyway. But, you'll soon find out that porn is "his/her" thing, when you catch him/her on the Internet changing screen whenever you walk by. You feel hurt and betrayed, and your trust in him/her is gone forever. In other words, if he/she keeps going back into the same patterns you know it's time to go.

4- He/she becomes concerned about your physical appearance as well as her/his own body appearance. When he/she becomes alarmed by a wrinkle he/she discovered in your or his/her own
