The essential vitamins that are needed by women to keep them in optimal health can be found in the food we eat. However, it is a fact that most of us do not maintain a well balanced diet and as a result we do not get an adequate supply of needed vitamins. Some vitamins are also destroyed by cooking and so they have to be taken in the form of supplements.
A woman's body is unique and so she requires specific vitamins and minerals to meet those particular needs that she may have from time to time.
The B VITAMINS are my favorites. They promote healthy hair, skin , eyes and mouth as well as nervous system.One of the most important B VITAMINS is FOLIC ACID. When taken before and during pregnancy, it helps to prevent birth defects such as spina bifida.This vitamin also helps to build the immune system and is best taken with VITAMIN C.
INOSITOL is another B VITAMIN that is beneficial to women. it helps in hair growth and has a calming effect. Women are always concerned about their weight so they will be glad to know that it helps to metabolize fat and cholesterol.
CALCIUM is also an important mineral that is needed for the strengthening of bones and teeth .I find that it helps me sleep better and it also helps to lower blood pressure.
One supplement that I recommend highly is GOOD 'N' NATURAL ALFALFA.it contains VITAMINS K, C, D,E, AND K as well as the B COMPLEX VITAMINS .It also has calcium iron, magnesium and zinc.
ALFALFA balances hormones and cleanses the blood stream ,it acts as a diuretic lowers cholesterol. I find this supplement to be so good that I always keep it on hand for me and my daughter.
