Signs of a low-sex marriage

There are a few obvious signs of a low-sex or sexless marriage. When the flame seems to have gone out or when it appears that he/she has caught their fish and no longer feels it necessary to bait the hook, these things can begin to come on subtly and are red flags to the relationship.

The frequency with which any type of intimate contact begins to dwindle. Even simple contact as the embrace. Indeed there comes a time when the honeymoon is over and the relationship normalizes, yet there ought to be regular contact between spouses. However when even the simplest of gestures reduces in frequency this is an indication that there will be trouble on the horizon.

You find that your partner seldom or never engages the pursuit and you, on the other hand, must initiate most or all encounters. While this can happen for a variety of reasons, when you find that it seems that you are the only one with a drive, it's time to move to some type of corrective action.

Finally you begin to feel a bit overwhelmed by a sense of rejection. This indicator is the more difficult of the signs as it comes more from within and from ones ability to identify with these feelings but remain objective enough to recognize that they are a reaction to the ongoing situation of a low or sexless marriage.

Again there are many reasons why this could be happening. Depending on your love of your spouse there are many choices one can make to address the difficulties. The most important thing of all is do so quickly and to assess the relationship early, honestly and fairly.
