Poetry: If I ruled the world

If I ruled the world....

I do rule the world
ask Miss Molly, with her tail all curled.

Her every whim and want
neglect it, I don't.

She sleeps by my side
with her speckled, colored hide.

Don't get in her face
for, to bite yours is no disgrace.

She loves me
it's plain to see.

I love her
I will not deter.

She is my best friend
even in death it won't end.
