These Muslim Extremist have won if we do stop traveling. They want us all to live our lives in fear of the jihadi and the moment that we stop traveling because of them is the moment that they have won. The packed airport departure lounges bear testimony that people are not going to be bullied into changing their habits.

However, there needs to be an informed debate in the West about the true nature of Islam. This would make the fear that certain people would like to create as an excuse to rob us all of our freedoms disappear if people were better informed. We need to have less mass hysteria about the threat of terrorism and more debate about what causes it in the first place and how to stop it at source, rather than chasing shadowy men around the mountains of Central Asia.
