Best wedding souvenirs for guests

When it comes to Wedding souvenirs for guests, you really need to think about something that YOU would like to receive. We've all been to weddings and got things that we simply brought home and stuck in a cupboard or maybe didn't even take out of the car, but I've also been to weddings where the gift was lovely and actually something I wouldn't mind displaying in my home. The idea is specialized, personalized (to the bride and groom), and usable. Here are a few of the best wedding souvenirs that I have received...and at the end, some of the worst!

BEST
1. A personalized CD of the Bride and Groom's favorite music. The CD jacket was a print of one of the "Engagement Photos" in which the Bride and Groom where standing on the beach holding hands, and on the inside was a special little write up by the Bride and Groom thanking each guest for coming to their wedding. The music was great as well, and all the songs were listed on the CD with a short description of why it was important to them. Also...very cost effective!

2. Painted Wine Glasses. I did this for my wedding. I got a few boxes of regular white wine glasses and some paint in our wedding colors especially for painting glass (dishwasher safe). I wanted to do something creative, something that looked good and was usable. I came up with a simple design that incorporated my and my husband's initials and a vine with some flowers; it was nice, easy and they turned out nicely. In addition to this, we filled each wine glass half way with silver wrapped "Kisses"...the overall picture was wonderful, and I've actually been to several guests houses where they have these glasses displayed with thier glassware!

3. Framed Picture of the Bride and Groom. The picture was a smaller version of the Engagement photo that was being signed (or rather the matting was being signed) as a guest book. Printed in pretty script along the bottom of the photo was the names of the Bride and Groom and the date. The frame was silver (which can be purchased for rather cheap in bulk), which goes well in most people's homes.

4. Etched Wine Glasses. I went to a wedding last Fall where the Bride and Groom had wine glasses etched with their names and the date. I liked this idea, because it is a usable gift, but I like my idea of the painted glasses better because they are more personal, creative and less like something you'd find in a store. Still...nice gift and rather inexpensive.

WORST GIFTS
1. Monogrammed Shot Glasses. Yes, I said shot glasses...the
