I, along with most liberal minded people in the Western world, pride myself in my liberal acceptance of people who think differently to me. Unfortunately, many in the Muslim world are not so accepting of others' views. Most of them dislike our lifestyle, but, thankfully, the majority are prepared to live and let live. The problem comes when an idiot minority of terrorists, who call themselves Muslims despite their unMuslim thirst to kill innocent people, decide they want to blow up "infidels".

We in the Western world cannot understand their way of thinking. But they are terrorists and they have achieved their aim of spreading terror. Admittedly, they have not yet reached the scale of fear levels they hanker after, but people are still worried.

I, for one, will never visit a Muslim country, full stop. This is sad, because I do not dislike Muslims and I would love to spend time in a number of their wonderful countries. But I have been discouraged by the terrorist element. I am also wary before flying anywhere on holiday. It is only natural that thousands of questions flick through your mind.

I am no different to millions of other people across the world. Our world was becoming a smaller place with overseas vacations easier than ever before. Now, many of us will not be traveling as much as we would like. The message Bush and Co keep trotting out is that Muslim extremists will not win. Maybe not in the way they would like, but they have certainly changed the world and the way we all think. More's the pity.
