discussing seem trivial, it is the attention, interest, and support your partner desires. Loneliness and depression set in if these needs are ignored. This forms an invisible wall between the couple that may become insurmountable if it is left too long.

Differences in morals and value systems can be a serious roadblock in a marriage. These subjects are guaranteed to cause disagreements eventually. Each individual holds vastly different views on what is right, what is wrong, religion, and how children should be raised. Sadly, these topics are often not discussed until after a problem arises and can be the most difficult to deal with. A couple needs to find a balance between them to unify their lives without compromising who they are. Because views and opinions can change with time, dialogue must be maintained throughout the relationship.

Do not get discouraged; no matter what complications arise in a marriage, patience, persistence, and teamwork are the keys to contentment. Deal with problems together to minimize the chance of outside interference. Complaining to friends and family instead of sharing these thoughts with your spouse will only lead to hurt feelings. Keep the reasons that the two of you married in the front of your minds. Use them along with solid communication as your motivation. Dealing with issues together as they surface with the right methods will ensure a long and generally blissful marriage.
