Lack of religion in schools and how it has affected children

by Wade K

"We reap what we sow". Oh those words seem to be so true in the times we now live in. We as a nation are so wrapped up in doing the politically correct thing, that we have somehow forgotten how to do the morally correct things. How is it that this country has allowed a few disgruntled "atheists" or "idealists" to dictate what the rest of the country( our "one nation under God") believes? Where have we gone wrong? Why,since God was taken out of the schools, and church has been separated from state, has the entire country been on a downward spiral? Where have we as citizens gone wrong and when are we going to stand up as Christians and demand that our voices be heard. History is trying to repeat itself and the Christians are once again being persecuted for their beliefs.

Their is an evil overshadowing the lands from as far as the eye can see, to as close as your very own back yard. A silent evil lurking in the shadows waiting to pounce on its unsuspecting prey, if given the chance. An unrest, a doubt of the future, a question that hasn't been answered, a thirst for greed...an itch that cannot be reached. The world is made up of so many without hope, without faith, without purpose..those who are willing to roam aimlessly and take what is not there's and suck the life out of whom ever stands in there way.
We are responsible for these lost souls. We are the ones who idly sat by and let the heads of state dictate our beliefs and where it is we learn them. We are the ones who weren't strong enough to stand up to government and protect our children from what we have now created. We...we are the ones who allowed our children to become spiritually and morally lost. The youth of today seem to have no conscious, have no concept of what is right,or what is wrong. Respect is no longer earned-no, now it is expected. The only beliefs that they seem to acknowledge are the ones that are being broadcast to them via the television, Internet or cell phone. The ethics of what once was a great and powerful nation are now just ruins crumbling all around us...soon to be but a vague memory if we don't try to stop it now.
What,I ask you,are these people who do not want religion taught in schools so afraid of? Why do they object so loudly to a knowledge and a belief that can empower and enlighten there children to become someone who believes in something bigger than themselves. An ideology that represents hope, love, faith and the power of belief? Why would someone not want that for everyone?
