Teenagers versus adults: The struggle in understanding one another

One of the biggest worries for adolescents is their appearence.
The body changes so rapidly, spot breaking out , for these reasons teenagers spend so much time in front of the mirror.
In fact when I was a teenager I wasn't so happy with what I saw, sometimes spots and hair were in unlikely places. It isn't very right, opportune making jokes about teen's appearence. It's also a mistake to make light of something that worries a teenager, even it seem very silly to you. We have to convince our teenager, that, for example, plastic surgery it isn't the only solutions for them, but we should to explain that other people rarely notice some details that we notice in ourselves.
I think that higher is their self-esteem, bigger is the ability to cope with these temporary problems.
Some teenegers, especially boys, have less developed range of emotional expression to call on.Usually embarassement, irritation and disappointment are difficult emotions to react and anger is the way some teenegers express themselves and are very common battlegrounds with parents , so you need to reassure them with your love and support and help them to keep in perspective, everyone has some setbacks in life.
Parents who are very anxious and very worried how to cope their sons, know that this period usually is short and it's normal.
It's so important that young people find vigorous activity, such as sport, helps them deal with their emotions.
The duty of the adult is helping their independence and make them aware of the responsability in looking after themselves.
