Guide to effective advertising and marketing

Business is about contacts and maximizing every possible opportunity for exposure.
For a startup or a mature business, they are always ways for publicity that do not need to cost a lot and can be done in a small budget.
Here is a list of examples

1; know your business and its strength or weaknesses

2; they are plenty of sites on the Internet that allow free advertisements where a link to your site or contact details can be created, its easy and can let people see who you are and what you do, plus it is free.

3; Create a press release, if you are selling a product or service that is different or is unlike anything else in your area, then make a good press release to the newspapers, columnists, reporters etc, let them come down to the business and make an article. It is free publicity and what you are offering might just be what he area has always wanted or wished for.

4; Check Amazon, they is a chance that the product you have is something that is in high demand on there site but they are having difficult in finding suppliers, demand is outstripping supply, it might just be that you have what they want in bountiful supply. This can also create publicity for your site as you will then be trusted.
5; Create an Eba listing and shop, this is free publicity also and will cater to an audience looking for your product or service.

6; Go onto the Microsoft website and use the free website hosting they are offering, you can get a free website tool creator from Yahoo, from this, you can now create a Little site that states who you are, where you are, what you sell, times, contact details.

7; Use youtube, myspace and Squidoo, they are free sites and have a varied and large audience that you can use for publicity, say who you are and your business, make is different and make it stand out, it does not need to cost anything.

8; create leaflets, flyers or posters for shops and everywhere possible in your area, make sure that you can post to anywhere or are willing to make business beyond your area, in all of the examples as this will create a greater supply of advertisement and money.

9; there are affiliate programs that are little links which Can be put onto sites, get amazon, Microsoft, ebay, youtube and other sites, get there links which they normally give freely, and put them on your side, when people click on those links, you will get revenue and money. It also works in the same way for similar businesses, stockists or services alike yours who can advertise on your site, in return, they advertise you on there sites and so on.

After that, you will have a varied range of customer and a big audience, from there you can create television adverts, though it unliekly you will ever need too if you do these points correctly.
