I prefer beef ramen noodles myself. Often, I add a few ingredients and they make an incredible quick supper for me and my three sons, strapping goliaths of the college football type. Living next to an Asian grocery gives me the opportunity to find all sorts of wonderful Oriental greens at a reasonable prices so I'll add bok choy, Chinese mustard or something similiar. I also like to put in chopped Shitake mushrooms that have softened in cold water. Thin slices of beef and tofu, with the
addition of miso ( also from the Asian grocery )add so much to the little packages
of ramen. Top with chopped green onions and a half a boiled egg and season with
chili to taste and enjoy a really warming soup. I buy bottles of beef broth at the
Asian market in case I want to add more water to the mix. Thinly slices carrots are
nice to add color and healthy ingredients.
