Yes! There is a thing called, "Good Debt". What is a good debt? I believe that good debt is having a mortgage on a house, taking out a personal loan for school, financing a vacation to Europe that you have always wanted. Bad Debt in my opinion is lending your friend money, and there is something I live by, "If you don't have it to loose, don't lend it." Lending money always creates bad feelings between you and the borrower. Give your friends money and if it comes back great! If not, know that you did a nice thing and don't complain about it. Another bad debt is investing in something that you know is a complete long shot and you didn't have the money in the first place to play with. An example of this would be, peanut butter cookies that you wanted to market to a school. Everyone knows that most schools now are a peanut free environment. Most importantly, remember to live within your means even if you are used to having more because being in credit debt can be devastating if you can't afford that monthly bill.
