Absolutely! I think that it is a crime that Americans are roped in to paying exorbitant amounts of money for their prescription drugs when they can get the same drugs from outside of the country at a more affordable price. Many people argue that the "safety" of these drugs is just not there, but I believe that people should be able to choose what they put into their bodies; people should be able to search out deals and do their own research when it comes to purchasing prescription drugs.
Obviously, it seems that the real issue is that the big "drug companies" don't want to lose money by allowing their American "customers" (which are really more likes slaves to the system) to outsource when it comes to getting their prescriptions. If you don't have "insurance" that pays for prescription drugs or give generous benefits, you can easily find yourself paying over $100 for a one month supply of a drug that YOUR doctor has told you that you need. It is especially sad when elderly Americans find themselves in this position, unable to afford the host of drugs that they must take, when they could easily purchase them from Canada or elsewhere and save not only their money, but their peace of mind.
I believe that the issue of "prescription drugs" is one that we will be seeing much more of in the future, especially in the upcoming Presidential election. We have allowed the drug companies in the United States (even though most of their drugs are actually CREATED out of the country) to basically rape the American public, and if people want to look elsewhere for their medications, that should be their prerogative!
