Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunites, Threats
SWOT is an acronym used in many businesses for business goals and projects. It may also be used for planning a successful event that's non business related. The reason for SWOT is to maximize in potential, and to decrease in liability. Let's give a scenario about a cell phone store planning to unleash a buy one phone get one free plan.
Strengths
Company's strengths are their marketing ability, it can reach to a wide range of people
Weaknesses
Financially unstable, need a bit more funds to support the temporary lost in hardware sales
Opportunities
Instead of offering a free phone, they could lower the price of each phone by a little instead to keep the cost low
Threats
Other company could offer a better deal, wasting your marketing fees to a wasted promotion
Recognizing your SWOT analysis can help leaders make a better plan for the future. In this situation, the risk is too high and could jeopardize the company. They need to re-look at their goals and modify their plans.
