Should you be able to buy a piece of the moon

When the United States landed on the moon they claimed it for the entire earth. Not for the United States but for everyone. It was a giant leap for all of mankind. Now anyone attempting to claim it as property must prove that they got their before Mr. Armstrong. Crass comercialism is ruining our planet. What right does anyone have to dig the resources of mother earth up and claim it for their own. None. Capitalism is destroying our world and has created a situation where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The earth is not a possesion it is home and the moon by virtue of the first person to go there belongs to all. Anyone currently selling pieces of the moon should be charged with fraud as they have no right to the real estate they are selling. Im very tired of the rich having everything they want while the poor strugle merely to survive. Im very tired of the natural resources of our planet that should belong to all being squandered and destroyed for the profit of a few. Im very tired of the inequity created by our system. Now is the time to change that. The moon has resources that could make every man woman and child on earth independantly wealthy, and yet we will war with one another to control those resources so that the 3 or 4 hundered people that already control the worlds wealth can become even more wealthy.

What would happen if we strip mined the moon. The resources will be hoarded in order to inflate the selling price of the resources. Energy will not be cheap despite the abundance of helium-3 because the ones who own the mechanism for transporting the minerals will recognize what a glut in the market will do to the value. We have a modern day gold rush about to start on the moon. Only this time it will be oxygen and water that are the currency. The moon should be offlimits until such time as we address the inequity of the system and correct it. Modern day robotics has advanced to the point where no one need to do menial labor the problem is cost and cost is an illusion based on worthless paper that is printed on and every body agrees represents the things that have value. While the moon may be a place where great advances in science may occur, it is irrational to allow the wealthy to continue to get rich while the resources to feed the starving exist but are not being used for that purpose. Now that the X-Prize has been won, it is only a matter of time before the greedy unscrupulous people of our planet find a way to disenfranchise the rest of our population from the greatest deposit of resources we know. Those who see no problem with our system have fallen into com. Most have what they have through their own efforts. There are a minority who have more wealth that any person should and they aquire more of it through the labor of others. If we allow the moon to be colonized before the inequity is addressed you doom your selves to the fate that has already consumed the lives of so many.
