Get Out of the Crowd! Be Different! Choose Online PR!

More and more business owners understand the importance of having an online presence, but most of them still believe that having a website is enough. Many understand the importance of the search engines and waste tons of money each month on pay per click campaigns and other similar online marketing strategies. But only a few realize what a good press release could do, while some still don't understand what online PR is really all about.

As you know, public relations refers to activities used to gain public awareness and good will for a company and its products and services. These might involve various tools to influence the media to publish or broadcast stories that boost the image of a company and increase brand reputation. And that's the shortest definition of public relations: building brand reputation.

Online PR does the same things as offline PR, only using online channels: online press release submissions (SEO optimized press releases, we'll talk about this later), article directories, forums, blogs, social networks and so on.

To approach online PR takes guts and guile. The Internet brought along a few media tools that changed the face of public relations. This was a sudden change. A few PR visionaries had the courage to approach this new type of media and create online press coverage services that transformed many small local businesses into global players. Yes, we all start small, but online PR helps companies grow faster. And this is not the sole advantage of online public relations
Online Press Releases - How Powerful Are They?

Online PR is cheaper than its offline counterpart and it's even more powerful. A good press release, submitted through the right online press release distribution service, could reach the inbox of thousands of journalists in a flash and go live offline too. Shortly, you'll find your press release posted on thousands of websites with as many back links to your website. You'll no longer need to invest money in buying links (and, by the way, buying links should be defined as "renting links"), as they will be brought to you naturally, by your press release.

Submitting a press release online is so easy, even a child could do it. There are paid services and free services. Depending on the relevance and importance of the news you could choose to send the press release yourself to specialty websites, send it solely to your clients via email, or choose a free press release distribution
