Delightful Buns
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
4 cups whole wheat flour
1 + cups unbleached flour as needed
1 tablespoon sea salt
1/4 cup olive oil, optional
2 1/4 cups very warm water
2 tablespoon lemon juice
Preparation:
Combine whole wheat flour, 1 cup unbleached, and yeast in a large bowl. Combine liquids and add into flours mixing well. Knead in more unbleached flour as needed to form a soft ball, knead 5 minutes. Shape into 12 burger buns or 24 dinner rolls on a prepared baking sheet and let rise until double. Bake at 375F for 10 minutes, reduce heat to 350F and bake 15 minutes more.
Serving Size: 12
Preparation : 15 minutes
Cook : 30 minutes
