I have had AAA assistance off and on for a number of years now. As a woman it makes me feel more confident when I am out on the road.
Last winter in -20 weather my tire popped and I had my youngest child with me and they were there with a tow truck and changed my flat in about half an hour. I mean now thats service and the guys are always nice and they make sure to see you leave to know your able to before they go.
When I first got that vehicle I didn't know how low down the gas gage could go and was to tired to fill up one night and sure enough the next morning halfway to my destination..out of gas. AAA came within 20 minutes and gave me enough gas to get to a gas station, no charge.
There have been other times to when my vehicle needed a jump start and there they were.
As a busy mom and someone who is unknowledgable about vehicles, except how to drive them, I find AAA service worth every penny. There have been some whole years where I didn't need them at all and then I think its been a waste, but all I have to do is remember the times they are there and it outweighs the 70 dollars or whatever a year.
You cannot put a price tag on saving your children from the stress of walking a few miles in -20 weather to find a gas station or a tow truck and I know they are not there to rip me off when AAA service is in charge of your vehicle you are safe from the unknown mechanics and guys who just want to be a mechanic.
